Jamin Ellis writes and performs original music inspired by his experiences, hopes and dreams, and philosophy of life.  Sometimes called "philosophical folk rock", for the poignant manner in which deep topics are covered, his music loosely fits into the genres of folk and rock, but he is a singer/songwriter at heart.  His lyrics deal with topics such as struggle, existential dread, the realities of life, and finding a place in the world, from the point of view of a simple human being.

His influences include The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, Death Cab for Cutie, Labi Siffre, Pete Seeger, The Beatles, and many other singer/songwriters.

You can catch him playing around the Columbus, GA and Opelika, AL areas with the bands Immortal Parrot and Me-Shaped Hole.   

Jamin's first single, Anisette, released on March 23rd, 2024 on most major streaming services.  His second Single, Everyone Dies released on May 3rd, 2024.

On July 26th, 2024, Jamin announced a new EP, Songs for People Impersonating Grown Ups, that released on October 4th.  This four song collection debuted on July 12th with the release of the first single, The Two-Headed Tattooed Girl.  A second single from the EP, The Story of a Turtle and a Squirrel (and also Tacos), was released on August 23rd.

On January 7th, 2025, Jamin announced his first full-length Album, The Grand Egress, which will release on September 9th.  The fifth single, Blood and Water released on all major streaming services on August 19th, 2025.
